Since the Polish airline Eurolot announced the opening of a new route Vilnius–Krakow–Vilnius, Vilnius International Airport now offers flights to 31 cities and 36 airports in Europe and Russia for the summer season. 40 direct regular flights shall be operated from Vilnius. 21 airlines shall be offering flights during the summer season.
Flights between the second largest Polish city Krakow and Vilnius performed by these airliners with 78 passenger seats shall be operated on the 7th June, twice a week on Thursday and Sunday. Ryanair airline opened a new route to Paris as of 26 March. As of now flights to the capital city of France, Beauvais airport shall be operated three times per week. Starting May 27, Vilnius – Paris-Vilnius route will be expanded with Wizzair which will operate two weekly flights.
Such new direct routs as Baden-Baden, Bergen, Stavanger, Liverpool, Tel Aviv, Reykjavik are on expanded summer season schedule as well. Connection with Russia has increased significantly. Aeroflot will be operating daily flights to Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow and Ak Bars Aero airline will be operating flights to Saint Petersburg on Mondays and Thursdays.
