Vilnius Aims to Become a Cyber Security Hub

Lithuania is strengthening its position as a leader in the contemporary cyber security agenda. This October Vilnius became a hotspot for cyber security professionals. The month started with a focus on the cyber security training “Cyber Shield 2017” followed by the Cyber Inn conference, where professionals discussed the need for changes and cooperation to strengthen collective cyber security positions.

The Cyber Inn conference speakers from all around Europe provided some valuable insights for developing cyber security infrastructures. One of the considerations was the on-going issue of incorporating civic, business and governmental initiatives into one working system.

Professionals also discussed methods to strengthen the effective cyber security system that would allow for quick implementation to react accordingly, as the intensity of cyber intelligence activities is increasing day-by-day.

The Cyber Inn International Conference served as part of the three-day national cyber security exercise, Cyber Shield 2017. Around 200 people attended the conference from more than 50 Lithuanian public and private sector institutions, as well as companies that manage the country’s information resources and information systems of special importance.
