Vilnius Pro-Am to Light-up Lithuania as Golf Destination

A new Pro-Am event is joining the PGA of Europe’s Sanctioned Event calendar as the Vilnius Pro-Am 2019 is set to take place at the Vilnius Grand Resort in Lithuania from 29 May to 02 June.

Teams of one Professional and three amateurs will enjoy a 54-hole Pro-Am format event that will showcase one of the best championship golf courses in the Baltic States, with Professionals competing for a prize fund of €20000.

Situated just 20 minutes outside of downtown Vilnius, among 350 acres of the resort's beautiful grounds, the Vilnius Grand Resort has the 6312-metre Par 72 golf course in a landscape of rolling hills, natural lakes and sand-based fairways for an exciting, challenging game for every level of golfer.

The Vilnius Pro-Am 2019 will see golfers from around the world visit this developing golf destination that will place it firmly on the golf travel map. Lithuania has already begun to build its own golfing heritage with around 1100 federation players and seven courses around the country.

In addition to its championship golf course, the Vilnius Grand Resort has 185 rooms and 25 meeting rooms with 8000 sq. m of functional space with modern facilities and dedicated service. Last year, the property played host to the 24th International Conference on Information and Software Technologies (ICIST) as well as the second annual Pillar Unconference organised by The Pillar Project, a Swiss-based non-profit building the world’s most advanced cryptocurrency and token wallet.
